Symptoms of Vaginal Vault Prolapse?
Symptoms vary depending upon the severity of the prolapse.
Women may experience any or all of several symptoms including:
Vaginal pain
Vaginal heaviness
A feeling that "something is falling out"
A bulge into the vagina
Painful intercourse (dyspareunia)
Back ache
Involuntary loss of urine (incontinence)
Difficulty urinating
Anal pain
Vaginal discharge
Pain with prolonged standing
Bladder infections
Some women do not empty their bladder or bowels completely and must strain or
splint the prolapse with their fingers in order to defecate or urinate completely.
